Sampai nanti!

Dadaaaaah :)

i don't want anybody to burn my hollywood

There is actually a lot of entries that I have been meaning to write and post, but didn't have the time (or the motivation) to do them. Shit, Noel and I have gone living lavishly in KL for a day with just freaking coins, my adventures in Indonesia, the Muse trip with Alda, and all that fun stuff.

I don't know why. I don't know if I'm lazy. Day by day, the colors are paling here.

The people I know and the people I wish I knew. The people who were there.

The people that I laughed, cried, partied, and had adventure with.

My friends who have always been there. The few I truly loved.

You guys are assholes, for making me gonna miss you all so badly.

:(

A week to go...

flavyn

That leaf is waving with no effort
goodbye to what he claimed as his happiness

to the flowers that fall off the tree
and they just don't care

you gotta pop the balloons before we play the next song

Follow through, make your dreams come true. Don't give up the fight, you will be alright, cause there's no one like you in the universe. Don't be afraid (of) what your mind conceives. You should make a stand (and) stand up for what you believe. During the struggle they will pull us down. But please, please let's use this chance to turn things around. And tonight we can truly say "Together we're invincible!" Do it on your own, it makes no difference to me. What you leave behind, what you choose to be, and whatever they say; Your soul's unbreakable!

a week's worth of gold (and death)

A lot has happened in the past one week. Most, directly or indirectly, would definitely affect me (some would even affect you too). Here's a little chronology of what the hell happened:

It started with a.. uh... rather disasterous holiday in Langkawi. While it ended up alright, I believe we all think it could be better. But that was over, so I tried to do the next best thing, to calm things down and win a certain person back. But that didn't work out either lol... so there was the break up. Anyways, then I've decided to start working on my music again. You see, I've been writing songs for some years, but none is ever recorded (except from the 5 songs demo of Mentol), so I decided to give it a whirl with Reason (it's a MIDI-like composer but with real recorded sound) and Garageband of a song I made almost a year ago. And it worked out pretty well, I should try to upload it and let you poor people listen to my squeeky vocals hahahahah (of course, after I balance some shit up and get things to be actually listenable!).

Noelle had his family over for a night, and he has such a cool dad, he invited us all for a dinner. Hahah kick ass! SOME PEOPLE WANTED THE STEAK *nudge nudge TUR! nudge* hahaha just kidding man. But we were pretty well fed overall, and I remembered one funny thing when Noelle's sis thought Malaysia was some cheap ass ghetto village, and she felt sorry for Noelle to study here. Turns out this place isn't so bad at all.

Uh.. yeah...

Later that night, soem of us (Mac, Noelle, Arthur, and yours truly) went to Coolers and played some billiard, which happened to be one funny shit. Mac started off by boasting he'd kick our collective asses. But HAHAHAH that humongous bugger always lost EXCEPT WHEN HE WAS PAIRED WITH ME! Hahahaah!!! I'm not saying I'm good, but winning 3 out of 3 is...

And then my good friend Al invented the STAGES OF RELATIONSHIP EXPLAINED BY FINGERS hahahahahah!! Seriously, it's one of the funniest inventions ever, and Noelle and I improved it to perfection LOLXORZ! I'm trying to make a GIF or Flash animation out of it, cus it fucking rules! Stay tuned!

A bunch of us were also thinking what would happen to us after college friendshipwise. Are we gonna drift appart? Are we gonna stay the same? I don't know, but I remember of the Berkley Mafia in Indonesia, where a bunch a Berkley University educated mofos got together and started business plans and monoplize everything they could get their hands on. Well we're not exactly thinking of monopoly, cus we all agree it's not right, but we decided to start some business, nevertheless. A lot of thought was put into it, then we settled on a business that requires little money to set up (50 cent) but some fucking big GUTS and FACE to perform: PORTABLE TOILET. Yes, the crew will be a portable toilet machine by holding a plastic bag under the ass of anyone who wanna take a dump. HAHAHAHAHAH!!!! Hahahahha!!!! We're currently looking for employees, so if you're out of job and wanna be in a very rewarding company, call us! We give you 20 cents for every performance HAHAHAHAHAH1!!!!! Hahahahahahahahah!!!!!! Yes that was very graphic hahahaha!!!!

I've restarted my morning jogging too. Shit I'm damn outta shape right now.

Then we (FINALLY) had our bboy practice again after a long ass hiatus. It was mad nice, and to top it off we had an argument with the authority! (a small figured female who was alone against me and Noelle, we were brave!) But we kept on practicing until we almost break our bones.

What I have figured out is that how I missed hanging out with my buddies. We did a lot more than that, and it's been awesome and thoroughly hillarious! Granted, I'm still bummed by the fact that I'm not with the person that I loved anymore. But there's life. There's discovery, and rediscovery. I'm finding things out, as I go along, and I really thank everybody for that.

Yesterday, I had my Friday prayer and read the Quran. And there I found a really, really meaningful and really touching verse that I thought I should share with you:

It is not righteousness that ye turn your faces Towards east or West; but it is righteousness- to believe in God and the Last Day, and the Angels, and the Book, and the Messengers; to spend of your substance, out of love for Him, for your kin, for orphans, for the needy, for the wayfarer, for those who ask, and for the ransom of slaves; to be steadfast in prayer, and practice regular charity; to fulfil the contracts which ye have made; and to be firm and patient, in pain (or suffering) and adversity, and throughout all periods of panic. Such are the people of truth, the God-fearing. – Al Baqarah 177

It basically interprets as it is not righteousness by just praying, giving charity, or doing all the other rituals just because they're rituals and mean nothing more than a series of movements. But rather, you've gotta have the compassion, the need, the want, and the actual heart to actually do what you do. That is one unbelievable passage right there... And it really reminded me what I think I've kinda lost for some time now. I admit, I haven't exactly been the best person there is. But I'll always struggle. Aaaaalways!

And here's a news that would affect you all:
Saddam would be executed before 6 a.m. Saturday, or 10 p.m. Friday EST.
So by the time you read this, he might be dead already. He's a messed up mad man, but I don't believe in capital punishment. What does it mean to you? Rising oil price and more sectarian violence in Iraq which creates regional and (eventually) worldwide instability. It also affects America's image in the world, and it could also create little Saddams everywhere poised to continue his legacy. So yeah, I'll write more about this. Stay tuned for part 2!

And Eid al-Adha mubarrak! :)

aftertaste

Papers, papers, papers... a pile of surface for me to write on. I can graf, draw, and tear, but i decide to write. There is a billion possibilities of what could be poured there, and I'm treading on each of them one by one. It's not just an imagination, but also my determination and dedication for I can't wait to take the next paper and write more stuff on it. Make it pretty, write it in different colors. Shape it like a star, like a honeycomb. I can take the white A4, or a 4 x 6 photo paper. I try to print pictures. I try to write. I don't care if I've spent a lot, to me they're still not enough. I wanna make a big pile of happiness, feelings, and emotions. I wanna create something, and make more of it. Let them fly and slide all over the place. And when I'm finally tired of making you happy, I want you to know that you're still worth more than that.

And there's no regret, for I have tried.

ARYA = KENNY

The past week, I've made 2 REAL FUN AND CRAZY self-discovery trips to KL with (1) Nobi and Alex; and (2) Noel and Arya. The reason behind the trip is to spend some quality non gay brotherhood time with them cus they'll be leaving this place and I'm only gonna see em next year (if ever!).

The first session was with Nobi and Alex, this was on Thursday Dec 14, 2006. We had nothing planned, but we decided to go anyways. After waiting for the little fucker to wake up (Nobi), we left Cyberjaya right away to KL by bus. Arrived in KL Sentral and greeted by the nice folks from The Chickan Rice Shop. Then we took the monorail to Time Square, and stopped at BORDERS FOR GOD KNOWS WHAT. Three things happened simultaneously: (1) Nobi ended up digesting all the info his brain could chew on music from books; (2) I fell asleep on the couch; and (3) Alex played with himself. I didn't know, because I was asleep. But we ended up cracking jokes in there. After awhile, we decided to take a look around the place, see if there are things worth to be laughed at.

Then we got hungry, so we went to BAOZ and ordered some paus (it's bread with things inside, like bbq chicken and/or bread). We took the food outside and ate like real men aka all rugged, without proper sanitary equipment, on the stair, while watching traffic jam. And we also told jokes to each other, they were random business, such as:

1. How to pick one's nose properly?

After we were done devouring the paus (ironically, paus means whale in Indonesian), Nobi came up with a suggestion of going to Pertama Complex. I've never been there before, but I've always heard good things about the place as it holds a metal store. And Alex suggested the Chowkit. Why the fuck Chowkit, we still don't know up to this day, but it has something to do with the fact that it's probably the most messed up place in KL and we thought we'd like to find out.

So we went to Pertama Complex, to the metal store. And man, WHY DID I NOT KNOW THIS PLACE WHEN I ARRIVED TO THIS COUNTRY!?!??!?! It has good selection of CDs, band shirts, posters, and all that crap. To top it off, the guys who work there KNOW music so much, Kerrang mag should close down and give their shit to these guys. They were really nice and receptive too. Initally, we went to KL just to make fun of strangers, but as soon as we set our feet in that metal store (I don't remember the exact name of the store), 2 of us (not me) decided it'd be cool to buy shit. WTF! I tried to not spend any money, but they've got a Thrice t shirt! SHIT! So yeah, I spent 30 bucks on it, while Alex got himself a black hoodie that I knew Noel would drool at and Nobi got some CDs.

By the time we were done, it was 9:00 PM already, so we went back. It was one fun day, I realized mainly because we didn't need any materialistic things to keep us entertained, but it's the friendship and the craziness that could keep us alive. I'm gonna stop now before going all preachy (because that's a job of Bill O' Reilly ha ha).

There was a picture taken of Nobi in his glorious pose. But due to the safety (of me), I decide to not post it up.

AAAND THEEEEEEEEEN there was the second session which is yesterday. This time the guilty party is yours truly, Noel, and Arya. Same thing like before, we went to KL Time Square for no reason. And same thing like before, we went by bus. To top it off, THE FIRST STOP WAS FREAKING BORDERS!!! Shit what's with me and that cozy place?!? But we didn't eat at the Chicken Rice Shop, we ate at Ayamas, which is their bitter rival. I created tension between two chicken rice restaurant. I rule.

We then stopped by Borders, and took some time to read stuff. Noel was looking for The Game by Neil Strauss after heavy recommendation from me. By recommendation I mean brainwash. So we checked out the machine that tells which is where. Turns out the book was in the.. uhmm... Sex section?!? WTF? And we looked around the 2 stories bookstore to no avail, and it'd be gay for 2 guys to ask the helper there and ask where the Sex section is.

But after searching high and low, we used some brain and found the book, and it was under Gender Studies. Well what do you know, turns out THERE WASN'T SEX SECTION. Good.

So Noel went on to read it, and apparently he liked the book because of its entertainment value, and I told him he'd save money by borrowing it from me. He took the advice. Problem is, the book is with Saynt (hehehe), so he'll have to ask him.

Other than that, we bought the coolest (or dumbest, depending on which political party you belong to) book this year: The Alphabet of Manliness by none other than the man behind the gimmick Maddox. I'm getting tired of typing and I need to go to the front to get my laundry, so you might as well look it up on Amazon.com if the title intrigues you.

Then we ate at Johnny's, and here's where some hilarity ensued (and how I came up with the title of this post). We ordered the set, and it came with the main meal, ice cream, tom yam soup, and thai tea. So we ate our stuff, and at the end, we decided to mix things up and stir them. Hahahahahahha and by now you should know what'd happen: we decided we'd take turn to take a scoop out of it and gulp them HAHAHAH. But NOOOOO ARYA DECIDED TO EAT THEM ALL HIMSELF HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!! HAHAHA!!!!! I'm still laughing everytime I remember it. HAHAHAHAH!!!! So we put up a second round, all that we had in the first round plus some MASHED RICE, LEMON, MINT, and HAIR! Hahahhaha!! WTF?!? Yes, a freaking strand of HAIR! HAHAHAHAHA but we decided to play it safe and took the hair out, and THE GUY STILL TOOK IT! That's amazing I must say. A defending champion of anything-eater. A must have at every party. ARYA!

Then we looked around the mall for stuff that's worth buying (or stealing, but we don't steal). We found some good stuff, but unfortunately they're either (a) expensive; or (b) made from cheap ass material. I was looking for a hat too, but didn't find any good one. So guess what we ended up buying?

SOCKS

How's that for a whole day out? But it's understandable, if you know how Noel is with his sneakers and how my history is with socks.

After that, we went to eat at BAOZ (I'm starting to see some pattern here), where we discussed about how in the fucking world are gonna be able to pay for our electrity bills. But we figured out the solution, so it's all good now (I hope). We then rushed back to KL Sentral, and decided to take the train, cus the bus would only go at midnight. But also had to wait for another 30 mins for the train to arrive. So yeah, we decided to take the time to talk about meaningless shit and questions such as:

1. Would you do it with a post-op "girl"?

And the rest is history.

And I'm going to Langkawi tonight! Horay! :)

this is the last time i abandon you...

a closure to everything here.

and i want to sing along to that too :)

If only you know far I could fly

The tree branch that we stand on
to watch the parade in the burning city
is going to break soon
but let me jump now and land early
so I could catch you when you need me
